That sounds terrible. I hope you can get effective treatment. I've read that male doctors often tend to be dismissive of women's pain; I hope that's not the case for you.

Even though it's as background music, I can still appreciate the progression of the songs more than if I listen to them separately. Playlists have their place but albums have their own unity and architecture.

I know, right? Among other things, digital music (whether local or streaming) has totally changed the way we listen to music. For a while I even kind of forgot that albums are designed to be listened to from start to finish. Now I make it a point to do that often, instead of just isolated songs.
