I can easily bring the 3ds to school with me, I can throw it in my bag but with the switch I'll have to consider the screen and be careful with the joy cons. You need like a whole case to travel with a switch WITHOUT FEAR OF DAMAGING IT and I just don't feel like dealing with that most of the time
