Crazy late to this one but if you’d told me Call the Midwife had shoplifting nuns and half-naked midwives seducing their boyfriends I probably would’ve started it sooner 😂😂😂

Cold pitching is terrifying—do it anyway. The best thing that happens is you have a new outlet to write for. The worst is silence 🤷‍♀️
if u see this, quote-post with your tips for writers that no one gives anymore because they seem obvious (even though they're not)

Meg is a cornucopia of knowledge & one of the most gracious, generous writers I know. She says “ask,” you damn well better.
Basically AMA, including if you're a new writer and you need someone who's been in the business to answer a question. I'm holding the gate open and I answer good-faith questions with courtesy. And I ALWAYS want to hear if you read something I wrote and liked it, or felt it deeply in some other way.

Anyway, I also only returned after seeing the Insta meme of “drop your blue sky” & I was like “wait! I have one!” So hi. Glad I don’t have pneumonia currently like I did when I last posted 💁‍♀️

As the exodus from the unnamed former Twitter begins I’m curious if this app or Threads will win out. BookThreads is ACTIVE. Is there a Book Blue Sky? skybook? Booksky?

Also I took my mom on her lifelong dream trip to Ireland and it was a blessing and a joy and it aged me a decade (She did NOT like the Cliffs of Moher)

Laid up with pneumonia and instead of crying over my lost holiday quiet-time projects (any more than I already have) I’m looking back at what got done in 2023:
-2 romance novels under Kel Bruem
-1 novella currently querying
-12 Quiltfolk features
-1 Quiltfolk Journal
- 2 pieces in Polygon
