I agree. The first one was so magical. I think so far I’ve enjoyed the first 3 the best. Now I’m on the 5th and I had to switch to audio book so that I can get through them easier. Something about them being so big and a ton of the story just being about mundane life. I’m hoping it picks up soon.

I've only read the first 3 but the first one will always be the best in my eyes. There's something about the magic and unknown in the first one.
