There is a moment I distinctly remember as a kid. I was on my sled, mid flight after hitting a jump, watching tree trunks sail by and I thought to myself, "Perhaps this is not the smartest thing to do". Landed, went back to the top of the hill and did it again anyway.

Interestingly, one of the last times I was in I noticed a new sign in the lobby that said that disrespectful or combative patients would not be tolerated. I am guessing I am not the only one who had issues.

I ended up changing doctors. Should have sent them a bill for lost time.

I had a similar situation. Showed up 15-20 min early. Waited in line said amount of time to check in because there is only one person working & then inform me I have to wait because I was late. They also scheduled several appts. where they tell me they don't do that type of service on that day.

Oh, absolutely! I have the privilege of getting to work with immigrants regularly and there is nothing more I enjoy than sharing cultures, learning what makes us the same and different. And food is always one of the best parts.

I think I smell a rat (most likely an AI one) in the USPS system. Haven't seen time stamps quite like your before, but I have seen weird routing for my packages and seen others report the same in the last year or so.

They are referring to Taiwan. The formal name of the government of Taiwan is the Republic of China. Not sure why the editors would have used that name because it is not commonly recognized, at least among the general US audience.

I don't know that they ever completely go away. This past month I had to go do something that I have avoided since I came out because I feared the reaction. My fear was for not, it just catches me off guard now when it strikes.

Each of us have our own journey, so you should definitely do whatever makes you most comfortable and feel safe. For myself I have to say it was probably 5 years of being out in public before my nerves settled and I stopped having anxiety attacks.

I have been doing that with documents as they specifically ask for them. Things like source code, some 15k files. Don't know. A script will get the job done in a few seconds, just thinking the PCR and single commit to the entire code base will look odd.

Unfortunately, I changed both my first and middle names, not even initials are the same. Which to jump back to your subject from the other day. I had at least 3 friends tell me it would have been easier if my chosen name at least started with the same letter. 🤔

help bring new people up to speed who have never met the old me. I don't try to stealth, I am proud of who I am, but I don't know, reconciling my old name all over the place with new people is bothering me. Anybody deal with this before?
