There is only one race, the human race - Robert Sobuke 1959, also attributed to Rosa Parks...and here we are in 2026, 67 years later and what have we learned? 😞

I was disappointed with the ending. I do like things to be neatly tied up and the baddies to get their come uppance.

Even though I'm in my 70s and have had 2 children and regular smears, the sight of the instrument used for the internal examination made me wince 🥴

George is named after George Barford. He was the gamekeeper, married to aunty Cardboard, who took William under his wing and encouraged him to train as a gamekeeper. Before then William had been a bit of a tearaway.

Wouldn't be worth it for cash as the majority pay by card now, might be worth some booze or tobacco but they're bulky to carry away

Love it!
Would make sense for it to be a silent but do we really want another Grundy/Horrobin with a criminal record? I'm hoping it's a character we won't be sad to lose. But then they killed Nigel 😪

I once did a role play for trainee police interviewers where I was the person being interviewed. I had to answer 'no comment' to every question...it was extremely difficult to keep saying 'no comment' & nothing else

Passed 1st time. Examiner was so chatty he forgot to tell me which way to turn at a T junction, then when I rolled back on hill start he said "I know you can do it, try again" and I did. That was 1973, still going, no points, no crashes but no objection to refresher

In UK if you intend to drive a manual you have to take your test in a manual. If you take it in an automatic then you can only drive an automatic

But alcoholics don't/can't think logically. Friend was recently hit by young woman, followed her, called the police. Empty beer cans in car, walking & talking perfectly well. Roadside breathalyser & arrested. Friend guessed she blew 50 or 60. Police officer told him she blew 166, the limit is 35!

The £500 would have been better spent on a decent bike and clothing so that he could cycle to work, especially to places not served by a bus service

My granddad was the 11th child & born on 14th Feb & named Valentine accordingly (Val). My Dad got it as his middle name. 2 of his brothers were always known by their middle names but fortunately not my Dad.
