Feel this SO MUCH with Tears of the Kingdom. Keep wanting to go back and finish it but I just know I’m not going to remember how to do ANY of that magic arm voodoo crap. 😞

I still read one every 3-4 years just to check in on her. Never a favorite author but she was so ubiquitous back in the day if you read a lot her books were everywhere for free/cheap so you read them. Lol

A couple local spots in my rural Connecticut town, but more Democrats won overall for Board of Education etc here. Nice to see because this is NOT a blue town by any means.

Don't see me watching election night there ever again without Joy. She was so damn good, no matter what direction things were taking. 🙁

I still have some PC stuff (colander, bakeware etc) sold to me by co-workers from a job I left in 2002! The stuff was overpriced but actually very well made/quality.

I definitely appreciate how well crafted Tears for Fears lyrics are now in a way I didn’t in the 80’s. Best, I don’t know, but they are a cut above a lot of artists from that time.

Gray hair looks good on most people so long as you remember to use a purple shampoo/conditioner on the regular so it’s silver colored versus dingy looking.
Now totally white hair….hmm…

It is strangely YouTube friendly. Plenty of ‘flosstubers’ get 20,000+ views showing their wips. I have stitched for decades so I love the ease of getting stuff nowadays, I tell you that. lol

Cross stitching is crazy popular right now but in a weirdly low key way. Like I see some indie retailers selling THOUSANDS of $100 specialty kit boxes, thousands of ppl going to the online retreats etc but no jump at all in merch at Michael’s for the craft. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Only thing I came up with for the first half was that the fairy tale ish music was to represent how blinkered and disconnected Denzel’s character was at this stage of his life. Or not. It’s so bad, though!

The real issue though is I don’t like turkey. I cook it because other people want it. I’m freezing stock for an imaginary soup etc I won’t want to eat either. lol

Me with the turkey stock from Thanksgiving every year. Thrown out 6 months later because it’s taking up precious space. Can’t stop, won’t stop. (I don’t even LIKE turkey soup that much! What am I DOING?!?)

Love that one and every time I see someone mention it now it feels like something that couldn’t possibly have been made, doesn’t actually exist, and yet it does.

So many here I love but I gotta throw in Gosford Park because I didn’t see that one yet when skimming the comments. It keeps unfolding and then you get that final gut punch at the end. Love it.
