In a perfect world, Red Letter Media would discover this movie and spotlight it. I laughed so much at the Ouija Board scene.

The dad cheats and ends his marriage but forces the mom to tell the daughter alone so he doesn’t have to be the bad guy? Mom shouldn’t have lashed out but my god, the weight of shit that was piled on her, it’s no wonder she snapped. Dad and daughter are the bigger assholes in this situation.

And he shouldn’t be able to get away with bad actions because he’s seen as this voice for the left. Weird how everyone is so quick to turn on women on the left for one small misstep but this guy gets away with everything. It’s so weird.

He could still take ownership for his actions, no matter if it’s small or not. My issue is this guy refuses to accept blame for anything and brushes any critique off as “they’re just haters” and people buy it. It’s weird. He gives me bad vibes. He shouldn’t be held up as a good voice for the Left.

But it’s concerning that people are rushing to say this is nothing and saying that anyone who disagrees with him is obviously a “Zionist” or Far Right supporter is honestly cult-like behaviour. His fans strike me as Left MAGA. Very conditioned not to question dear leader.

You can disagree with the great Hasan Piker and still be a Leftist. It’s one issue out of many. I find it a bit concerning that people can’t admit he was just an asshole here and move on. Support him still if you like him. It’s whatever.

It’s not even about the collar for me, tbh he’s done way worse and is a terrible representative for the Left. But if we’re going to be all Britta about him, the level of anger he showed his dog for moving a bit is insanely unreasonable. He’s not a good person. He’s not a good dog owner.

I am genuinely perplexed that the barometer for if you’re a true leftist is whether or not you like Hasan Piker. That guy is a frat bro douche and we need to do better for the Left.

Chris Sarandon is amazing in this. He really committed to his delivery. This is one of my Halloween favourites along with The Frighteners. It just isn’t Halloween until I’ve watched them.

Love this movie. Just rewatched with my kids and the effects still hold up decently. A thing I miss about older movies is how lived in and “real” they feel compared to newer ones.

This article is so bizarre to me considering the narrative I grew up with was that women were obsessed with marriage and men were annoyed by it. The way some men went on about “the old ball and chain” you’d think they’d be happy about women no longer wanting to take away their “freedom”

I’ve decided this is the thread where I post random movie synopses from Prime that sound like the Chucky one. This one is for Phabtoms

I want to try my own.

The Client

Boy (Brad Renfro) hires lawyer (Susan Sarandon) after man dies.

Why is mainstream media still giving this con man a spotlight?

Congrats, that’s amazing!

Bush, always the king of nonsense “deep” lyrics.

“Bad moon white again,
As she falls around me” sounds poetic but what it means? 🤷‍♀️ I love them and the song anyway.

I think they were portraying the manosphere content naively thinking that everyone would know and already be against it. They really did need to have someone in the show say what a load of crap it was though. Having one character say “that Andrew Tate shite” was not enough.

I really liked the show but I really agree. I was looking forward to an episode from Katie’s perspective and it felt a bit empty to not have gotten that.
