stoped by SJMADE's illo mart this weekend: a weekend-long artist alley event with 400+ illustrators, most of them local! this is the biggest artist alley event (so far) in the bay area. our local creative industry is growing and showing no signs of stopping~ 📈

i ultimately got it down to 100 characters, which ended up being 2 characters away from the shortest possible solution (25ch→2cm, 50ch→4cm!) but considering the average is 489 characters, i think i did really well~ 😅

west oakland is currently my favorite BART station solely because i have accidentally got into ocean freight lately. now i know all the vessel (ship) operators + usual routes out of oakland, and can kinda guess destinations based on container color mix on sight.

i visited a newly opened matcha shop today, and this was my first time seeing japanese ケ/ヶ (ke/ka) to indicate quantity in chinese! it's pronounced and used exactly like chinese 个 (gè). (chinese is becoming more japanese, it seems...)
