Well no one has told me to kill myself here... can't say the same about X.

Traumatic me in theatres. Took me close to 20 years to watch it again. Now I love it.

By your metric, then nothing should ever be done by humans because we can't guarantee 100% safety at anything.

Creatives aren't anti-technology. They are anti-THEFT! Especially when the people stealing from them have millions and they don't even know how they are going to make rent if they can't get another gig.

And your answer is abuse a robot/image built on stolen pieces of actual women instead of safeguarding real women in their jobs with real protections, proper payment, and safe options?

Ok. If you want to cover your walls or collect signed first editions of prompts, go right ahead.

I am also not getting into what is and isn't "art" because that's a whole other discussion. My point is they may have made a "prompt" (whatever that's worth) but they did NOT make the picture/writing. The machine makes it.
melodyemcintyre.bsky.social
That's a better one. I have also used the analogy of asking someone else to do 10 push ups. Sure, I "prompted" them, but they did the push ups.

Photographers often arrange things, pose people/things, pick angles, adjust lighting, etc. They do more than just randomly aim a camera and hope for the best.

Disabled people already make art.

Also if someone feeds a prompt into a generator, it doesn't mean they created anything beyond the prompt. By your logic, when I Google something, I "created" the web pages it finds for me.

I have a bunch. All Ralph.

Sleep? Oh boy! That's where I'm a viking.

It tastes like burning

Yeah. I loved the first of the new movies so much. The second was weak but still fit. I am not into this Welcome to Derry. I am more willing to try the Carrie miniseries.
melodyemcintyre.bsky.social
I take it Welcome to Derry isn't that great, then? Not that I had high hopes. I do love telling people that Pennywise is actually a female spider-thing. They get so confused.

Definitely going to keep an eye out for this one. Love Greek myth and I don't think I've ever read an adaptation of this myth since Euripides.

The ads actually don't bother me. It's the aggressive AI "suggestions" that do.

This isn't a review of Silksong, since I physically can't play. Instead, this is a reflection of the Metroidvania genre, particularly exploring Silksong's failures and minor successes. Read my latest Access Designed on @ign.com here:

Hollow Knight: Silksong Reinforces the Metroidvania Genre’s Accessibility Barriers - IGN
There are overarching accessibility problems in the Metroidvania genre, and Hollow Knight: Silksong is just perpetuating and reinforcing inaccessible barriers.
