My writer friend James and I went out for a drink on Friday after work. He asked me when I started writing Night Falls. I admitted that I started it in 2019.

I finished reading this book a couple weeks ago. It took me quite a while to get through, not because it was bad, but because it got a little heavy and I realized my relationship with reading has changed.
I no longer need books to numb out on. I'm not anxious and filled with self-doubt anymore.

I just got home from a lovely camping trip. I took my hard copy of Night Falls with me, but somehow hiking and sitting by the fire took up so much time, I didn't do any editing. #writer #notediting

I'm not a fan of my days being so busy.
There's some fun stuff going on, some dumb stuff going on, and very little time for writing.
I do hope the end of summer decides to lay off me for a hot minute!
