Using a VPN doesn't change the fact that we are losing access to our privacy and our freedom to engage with what we want

Please if you live in the uk there's a petition I've reposted you can sign to (hopefully) get rid of this stupid law

The number of times I have reported videos on any platform only for some bot to come over a few hours later saying everything is fine is ridiculous and half the time I can't send it to an actual person to be verified.

This new act does not protect anyone. It's restrictive and awful.

If you WANTED to protect young people you would actually enforce your rules on your platform.

I hate to sound like some weird conspiracy theorist but it does feel like the government is trying to push how far they can censor people as before you know it people under the age of 16 will lose complete access to social media or be heavily restricted to what they can view and interact with.

You can upload a photo of your face/ID or your bank details to verify your age but this comes with a lot of problems.

Data leaks happen all the time and is especially dangerous with information from these methods meaning people can impersonate you, sell your data and could even steal money from you

And while I'm not upset with no longer having certain things flashed in my face whenever I scroll through social media the age verification is very stupid.
