I do think teenagers are smarter about this stuff now thankfully. But being quiet about this kind of thing never did anyone a favor, and it was on my mind, so 🤷‍♀️

Any adult who hits up a minor is a loser. Period. People your own age might not "get" you, but an adult sure as hell isn't on the same mental level as you. Your brain is literally not finished growing until you're 25.

There were other circumstances that made me feel sympathy for them, but those circumstances didn't negate the fact that this person preyed on me, distracted me from my life goals and took away more than a decade of my life by being an emotional and financial leech.

I was groomed in this way by someone starting when I was maybe 13-14. I was in that "relationship" for 11 years. It survived off of trauma bonding and emotional manipulation. At times I felt I was emotionally held hostage, worried that this person would kill themself if I left.

They shouldn't bug you for your attention while you're trying to focus on school, chores, or spending time with your family and classmates. Those are things that a selfish, predatory person does, and in a situation with age gaps, IT IS GROOMING.

An ADULT should not be talking to a MINOR for any reason beyond asking how school is going or what their hobbies are. An adult shouldn't be calling you cute, flirting, saying they miss you, or buying you gifts "just because."

This took me an embarrassingly long time to learn: Predators aren't always aware that that they are predators. They are sometimes broken, mentally sick people, who know they're doing something wrong but don't care because they feel they are the exception to the rule. They're not.

I avoid the doctor not only because of cost, but the insurance stuff and coversge networks confuse me. Also the rudeness/general callouses of medical staff is demoralizing and makes me spiral into depression every time 🙃

The point of AI being pushed so heavily is to get us to not use our brains. You don't have to be good at art to post art. The point of making art is making something with your own hands and skill. Anything less than that is not art. You're a grifter. Sorry but I will die on this hill.

I promise you if you picked up a pencil and tried to draw things yourself, it would bring 100x more value to the world than typing in some words and letting the stolen data of hundreds of thousands of artists do it for you. You don't give a shit about art, just like Elon.

What I'm saying is, please don't use AI when there are plenty of political cartoonists out there doing their thing. The image you posted is technically also stolen data - it was made by plagiarizing real artists.
