Our goal was at 50%, but we had to purchase some needs (groceries + my husband needed new socks, and I needed new underclothes).

I updated the goal to reflect my bank balance, and we're now at 33% after taking care of these needs.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

I ran into this same dismissive attitude when Vtubing, the first time around.

The same creators that churned out events and outfit reveals would belittle artists or cut down other creators who didn’t make their own.

Then they would demean streamers who used PNGs as not being ‘Real Vtubers’

You can be the best writer in the world, but if you don’t have a solid artist who brings it to life, captures the moment, and makes the flow effortless for the reader,

Then you have a pamphlet.

It might be a damn good pamphlet, but if you aren’t selling it as a pamphlet, it’s not going to move.

Not everyone is in that position. Artists in particular are chronically undercharging and underpaid for the proportional impact they have, not just on the art itself but on the impact of the story, catching a passing eye, advertising it further, and getting it into the hands of people in power.

Pay your artists. Tip them if you feel/know they are undercharging.

Put the price tag on your art that you know it to be worth. And if you are going to take on that monetary loss, then do so whilst finding an equal worth from it in another way.

The only way we get more art we love is to pay for it
