Pretty varied credits this week, all things considered.

What do you mean this is the first time PDD wrote a monologue???

One of those weeks where they somehow don't have a lineup to announce for the next live show.

My favorite thing is when they add some details around the studio for a backstage monologue or something and they decide to just keep in there. I'm mostly talking about the "Studio 8H" decal on the studio door and the cast portraits in the span of the hallway.

I know I should have seen that part as filler but I enjoyed the interlude with Jane, JAJ and Andrew as bikers. I'll take whatever Jajmukes I can get. Should I now call them Janjmukes? #SNL

Funny to think about that this is the second known time that Streeter has written a sketch about the people in heaven designing what to put on Earth. The first being the Making Man sketch for Taylor-Joy 46 that he wrote with Dan Licata.

It is so interesting how prolific Mike DiCenzo has been in the years he's been writing for the show.

Spent most of my free time looking up fonts. 😅

Kinda insane to think that Emily Oberman has been working with SNL for about 30 years now. The first two logos she did was with Bonnie Siegler when they were running Number 17. The last three was when she became a partner at Pentagram.

Why him? Why now?

They've finally released the trailer for the four-part documentary series SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night. I really enjoy the stylistic choice they're making for the episode about Season 11. youtu.be/QNY0uzmRj94

Hmm… James Anderson came back as guest writer this week. But there's not a particular sketch that felt like something he and Sublette co-wrote.

It does seem we're finding out the full January lineup once the show comes back in a couple of weeks. Not unusual for them to not have the lineup all set.

Credits, based on previous iterations:

Parking Altercation - Day, Seidell

Airport Parade - DiCenzo, Fowlie, Nordwind, Nwodim, O'Sullivan, Yang

Sabado Gigante - Bulla, Castillo, Hernandez, Tucker

Probably the most non-alumni guest writers that the show has had in a while. I feel like some were people Chris was friends with. Also, there was a former writer for Leno's tenure at Tonight and a former cast member from a more family-friendly sketch comedy show.

Somehow, most of the credits for the Tuesday promos are accounted for.

It's funny to think about that Chloe having a Chalamet impression was the perfect in for DiCenzo and JAJ (+ Nordwind and Dismukes) to create a sketch that utilizes JAJ's Bob Dylan impression.

One of those weeks where not a lot of writers are taking credit for the sketches. The day is still early though.

Having too many accounts on too many social platforms is really hard to manage. 😅
