I mean, given that the technical seems to barely matter anymore, they should definitely experiment more. (I do realize this week it did seem to matter, but it’s clear that being top in the technical won’t save you from bad signatures/showstoppers).

In the Listening Party, her introduction to the song is her basically being like “this is a song about superstitions, like knocking on wood, black cats, all that” followed by a long pause.

Which is honestly a weird introduction to the clean version of the song, so: she knows.
