Not sure how to feel about this -- the dev is utilizing an LLM to generate the voice acted content while paying a licensing fee to the actor and letting the actor retain all rights to it. I assume they aren't paying standard in-person rates and also cutting out all the production/studio costs.

Friendly reminder to my fellow youtube creators -- at some point YT automatically turned on AI slop, so I've turned it off in various settings. "Video quality enhancements", "third-party training", and "Automatic dubbing" in the screenshots below.

Like it or not a game's price sets expectations. A game with a base price plus a subscription fee sets even higher expectations. Players leaving negative reviews because your game does not live up to the expectations you set in their minds does not a "review bomb" make.

I'm also wondering with the "everyone can monetize" change if Twitch will increase the payout threshold to try to "encourage" streamers to not liberate the money from Twitch.

I've said for a long time that Twitch was leaving money on the table by not opening monetization to everyone -- seems the idea finally hit them. This is good to see. Hopefully, they won't erect other artificial barriers.

I've said for a long time that Twitch was leaving money on the table by not opening monetization to everyone -- seems the idea finally hit them. This is good to see. Hopefully, they won't erect other artificial barriers.

So just discovered an interesting Steam bug -- when you preload a game and it starts unpacking at a crazy slow speed (20 MB/s to an SSD), just restart steam and restart the install and suddenly it is back up to full speed:

Been tinkering with the game engine off-camera and I still don't have the model's textures completely loading but I do have a bit more loaded. I'll keep toying with it, but will likely be iterating more on it on stream.

I rarely look at analytics, but some friends have asked, "How's YouTube streaming lately?" It's pretty good; I'm happy with it!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who popped into my D3 stream last night! I've been doing streaming as a hobby since 2014 and can't remember ever getting numbers like what I saw last night. I don't do this for numbers, but I still appreciate the turnout. Thanks everybody!
