From here, they were hit with various acrylics. I ended up using a set of acrylic markers, as the coverage was great, opaque, and dried super fast over the primer. I was really surprised with the quality of the paint finish!

After a fair bit of filing and buffing, the material came up really nicely, and about 6 thin spray coats of rattle-can all purpose primer went on, and absolutely loved them.

The Second print came out crisp and tasty. There were a few issues to iron out still, Veemon's horns took a bit of a beating, and there was a bit of warping around the support material to file and smooth.

They were left to print overnight, and the first run off the printer is a little janky. Some loss of acuity in the face, and they got really attached to the support base. Guilmon was badly affected.
I was prepared to clean and finish these, but Warren kindly ran me off a second set of prints!

The initial STL Files were pretty big. But I needed these a lot smaller to be cake toppers, not cake crushers, so they were scaled down by 50% vertically and run off my buddy Warren's 3D printer.

I grabbed these off an STL file shop (Cults3D) for about £1.50 each, the seller had a bunch of digimon all up in a very similar style, each is a 3 pack, about the size of a Funko-Pop.
Credit to Stardemy the modeller, they seem to be original works! (I hope!)

Engaged myself in a very quick craft project for some little friends to sit on top of Mini-Memph's birthday cake. His 2 best boys!

Some further revisions to the design added blockier shapes, as an attempt to retain the squared off, cubish wedge look of the original TC Truck Cab.
I leaned more into taking queues from 80's and 90's rally cars. These sketches sort of show how that progressed into a final altmode.

Another fun fact, we came pretty close to having a custom figure made of this for the auction, but couldn't really find the right mold.
We were closest to going with the Legacy Evolution Chase/Cliffjumper mold.
