It's a day to reaffirm our commitment to #SexualAndReproductiveHealthAndRights for everyone. We join members and partners around the world in putting a spotlight on a critical piece of the puzzle: male accountability, engagement, and partnership in contraception use.

Social norms around masculinity promote risky sexual behaviors and discourage boys and men from taking care of themselves by accessing health services.

Engaging and educating boys and men around their own and their partners’ sexual and reproductive health is essential to reduce the burden of sexual and reproductive health on women and girls.

Men and boys need to take responsibility by being engaged as agents of change for the realization of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all.

Why modern masculinity is a climate issue. What does masculinity have to do with the climate? A surprising amount.

For example, significant figures in the manosphere combine misogyny with anti-environmentalism. Think Andrew Tate boasting of his fleet of cars and his private jet. And because care is central to climate action, it may be seen as “women’s work”.
