—and i think her arguments about the quality of her life shouldn't be dismissed. and the people of Lumière, sentient and whole, is their genocide worth verso's and renoir's (painfully human) desires? ugh. we are all hypocrites

crazy strong example of "no right or wrong ending" imo even though im sure (and frustrated) that mae's is painted (hah) as the "wrong" one. it IS unhealthy, and i believe she's capable of finding peace in verso's ending, HOWEVER her family is being hypocritical, unsupportive & taking away her agency
