Fanother example if it takes you much longer to colour, have a black/white option as the base instead.

Set yourself a comfortable baseline around the minimum of what is (financially) worth the time it takes to draw and then scale up with more complicated works increasing cost to match the labour.

That depends on what you're asked to draw; look at how long it takes you to do things and try to split it in a way which feels reasonable to you.

If drawing the body takes 3x as long as drawing a head for example, you can offer a cheap bust as an entry price and scale up based on time.

There is an extension (at least for firefox) which "zooms to fill" videos on a press of the Z key, which in those circumstances just hides the black bars, very handy!
