Omelot pro-tips:
Whip your eggs with just a bit of room temp water for a little bit of extra volume
A couple of those tillamook cheese snacks (medium cheddar ♡) are the perfect size and shape for 3-4 egg omelot. Lay them out on one half when the omelot is about halfway done and then fold over

3.3 egg omelot is a good size anyway

Had half a can of (american) coke left over to finish afterward and it tasted like nothing

Like the best part of ponche except both less work (no cup of hot liquid to fish in and then juggle) and tastier (so sweet)

Some stories from last week highlighting an angle I'd honestly overlooked completely:
How critical Sikh and other Indian immigrants are to trucking in California, and how much abuse they've been receiving even before the licence issue.

So all of these small trucking companies are losing critical numbers of drivers right before Christmas. Trucks just sitting on the lots and the companies losing money day by day as they try to find anyone to hire.
Going to be a lot of small operations going under in the next year.

And some of these guys are long term residents with DACA or other semi-permanent status who have done things like buy $80k trucks to make a living.
Beyond that, there are a lot of drivers just quitting anyway because they're afraid of getting pulled over.

Follow-up on the CA CDL thing:
Whoops! Wasn't pessimistic enough. Seeing reports of people with valid work permits expiring in 2029 and CDLs expiring in 2027 getting cancellation letters, presumably because the work permit has been renewed. So immediate impact is surprisingly high.

Also general reminder:
If you're in an accident you'll need to replace the car seats.
Most insurance policies will cover the replacement at least to the price of the lost seat.
Always ask if you have to file a claim, and maybe check before you need to.

I seen you've found a solution, but a general rec for anyone else: Evenflo Revolve360 Slim
They're pricier unless you find them on sale, but they go 4-65 lbs and transition rear to front. Incredibly convenient. And the whole seat comes off the base, so very easy to install securely in tight spaces.
