While this article focuses on the cat and mouse of the interview process, I’m curious what a hiring process might look like if the organization saw value in engineers leveraging AI tools and instead screened for applicants that used those tools effectively.

This makes a lot of sense - you’re prioritizing the design according to the primary users of the system - humans who live in relativistic time zones.

The “exact instant when this occurs relative to other events” is a secondary concern and can be derived as UTC when necessary.

There are parallels to physical fitness - are you trying to work on speed, power or endurance? And what technique are you employing to get them most out of it?

I’m curious if you could provide some examples of coping strategies and how you would distinguish goal vs accomplishment.
