Epic Games thinks you're gullible and tasteless enough to not care about GenAI and the people that choose to not disclose their usage at all on their platforms or more recently in Fortnite.

It has never been more imperative to create from the heart and soul. A machine can't do that, only you can.

I'm sure their totally real army of yes men and reply guys will have something to say about it!

Surely they might be the voice of reason about why they need at least one yacht a year for their totally super awesome parties or why they need to make plagiarism machines that print fascist propaganda.

I think frankly the narrative should not be "oh look at this GenAI dub it's so bad!" and instead be more along the lines of "Companies think you are gullible and tasteless enough to mindlessly consume crapped out GenAI dubbing or worse and we need to stop it before it goes any further."

The heavily insisted inclusion of battle passes (either free or paid) that regardless of how much you’ve paid for a game sits in front of you and forever taunts you with socially engineered conditioning to drive you to grind for hours on end…

It all sucks and it needs to end forever.

I only really cite a nebulous “corporate greed” here because frankly there’s a lot wrong between video game mechanics being patented, the endless infestation of micro-transactions and gambling, insistence on FOMO-based tactics to drive gameplay engagement and purchasing said micro-transactions…

Some that might attempt to pick of the pieces of their lives after being held accountable might never get to that point, some might take advantage of their status, others might have a goal to “correct” the failure of the system.

Some may take advantage of their position and never be held for it.

Some may attempt to fix the problems within the world, and may have all their ducks in a row but still fail because of something going wrong in an unexpected area. Though some may see the failures as a permanent red X on an idea rather than reexamining a concept that would actually work.

Even if it has been centuries, and the actions of then are only mere legends now, and details muddied out by time. There are no heroes, only ones who are in the right place at the right time. Those who may get a second chance they might not have deserved but get to make the most of it.

Some when confronted with their actions kill themselves even if the olive branch has been extended to them out of sheer guilt. A truly happy ending for some is a rarity and the new world built upon a better foundation still bares the scars of trauma, and atonement that will never be met in kind.
