Years ago we went diving in the Channel Islands out of Ventura. Chilling experience, but the invertebrates, especially Christmas trees, were fantastic. You're right, they retract as if on a spring.

This is a wonderful service, much needed. A dear friend had 2 of her 4 cats still living when she died. I took effort, but her girls got great new homes/people.

During the 20 years we scuba dived, the best area for clownfish was the Tahitian islands. Thing is, they were viewed best while we were snorkeling between dives.

They are magnificent, and SO hard to photograph. Seeing them float through the forest as we rode on horseback in Costa Rica is a favorite memory for me.
