I automate so I don't have to work hard on just one thing | 17+ yrs tech | 16+ AI products in 5mo | Teaching the lazy way | DMs open
i gave them an automation process:

python script to scan candidate github profiles
clear question bank for automated screening
ranked candidates by code quality

result: went from 0 hires to 20 hires

transformed their entire recruitment pipeline with simple automation

Also, the reason I put this out there because I've already worked on Openstack as a dev from 2012 to 2017, AWS solutions architect from 2016 till 2022. Seen how the entire thing works from the inside out wearing all shoes and hats 😉

At the end of the day, what exactly are you paying for?
If you already have a great team of devs capable of shouldering and building something useful, they should generally be able to take care of these things without support.

I know where you are coming from. But here's the thing, what reliability and what support? Yes, overall they are a big tech which can definitely provide it all, but when you want to start quick, when you want to start cost effectively, you don't really need huge teams or software or infra.

Totally agree, it's helps you put yourself into the mindset of optimizations.

Not saying that optimizing is always good, but sometimes, helps smoothen the rough edges.

He he, you nailed that one!

I don't know but a lot of folks have the misconception that coding is just a 1:1 thing and don't understand that there a whole lot of processes in between.
