As with everything, practice moderation. If you can, hire a human to do it. But if YOU couldn’t afford to hire a human to do the task, then don't complain about someone else using AI to do it. You can’t have it both ways 🤷

Idk if this is a hot take or not, but I think it's silly to strip tools out of the hands of people who would otherwise never be able to do the things they now can with generative AI. Just be sure to use it as a tool, not a crutch.

You can also run image generating AI natively on your own hardware.

AI art will never be as good or as appreciated as real human art. But it will also never be as expensive.

I recommend anyone that wants to use LLMs and LAMs do so by downloading GPT4ALL off github so you can run these generative AIs natively on your own hardware rather than using chat gpt or w.e that uses vast amounts of resources to run.

This is NOT to say that we should all just be frivolously using AI for menial tasks. This is to say that generative AI is a tool that people can use if they’re not financially able to pay a human to do it.

If I could afford to hire a computer programmer to write code for me, I would. But until I’m rich, im going to use the LLM running natively on my PC to write all the tedious coding idk how to do.

I’m certain that pretty much every person that uses some sorta generative AI for art would prefer a handmade piece of art made by a human, but the reality is we are all broke af and being able to buy art is a luxury.
