.@Backblaze customer @DecartAI emerged from stealth mode last week, announcing Oasis, their playable, realtime, open-world AI model. I love this quote from their CEO, @DLeitersdorf, in our blog post: "B2 Cloud Storage was literally the only technical thing we used in training… https://t.co/2fzHM...

I can see the exact day that @SalesforceDevs removed my Forcecraft video (https://youtu.be/eb3GgM1o_8I) from the APIs introduction on @trailhead. Ah well, it had a great run - 622K views across 10 years!

The sole reason I pay for the blue check is to get Tweetdeck, so I can monitor a bunch of search terms and lists on one page. Hashtag search is broken now. It starts out fine (first pic), but within a few seconds, it's full of irrelevant crap (second pic). Magic 🙄

Sometimes, a quantitative change is so big, it becomes a qualitative change. With the new Scalable Application Keys feature, @Backblaze customers can create up to 10,000 keys per minute, *150 times* the current rate.

Running a fleet of IoT devices, and (justifiably!) cautious… https://t.co/cBew...

I'll be part of the @Backblaze team at the EDUCAUSE Conference in San Antonio next week (#EDU24). Drop by booth #8038 to chat about cloud object storage, or just say "Hi!" and grab some swag! https://twitter.com/backblaze/status/1846904487362929016

Kin Lane, aka the @apievangelist, kindly invited me to help kick off his new podcast, API Evangelist Conversations, earlier this week. Join us to learn about the evangelist role and how the S3 API became a de facto standard for cloud object storage. https://t.co/OSG8UR3I4d
API Evangelist Conversation with Pat Patterson, Chief Technical Evangelist at Backblaze
This is the first actual edition of the API Evangelist Conversation podcast with my friend Pat Patterson, the Chief Technical Evangelist at Backblaze. Always enjoy learning from Pat as we dove into the meaning behind his title, as well as how Backblaze has standardized their API around the Amazon S3 storage API–essentially treating the API as the industry standard for storage.

@merseamillsy @backblaze Having said that, if a disaster were big enough to impact both North Essex and Amsterdam, your photos would probably be your least concern! 2/2

@kellabyte @SalesforceDevs @CSUMB A cheap laptop and an internet connection gave you access to an entire stack, from the OS up, free of charge. Hugely empowering for a class of mostly first generation students! 2/2

Some time ago, I created a GitHub repo showing how to upload files from JS in the browser using the #BackblazeB2 Native API. I just updated the repo to show the same using S3 presigned URLs, with an explanation of the differences between the two: https://t.co/meot9usmBP

@kelseyhightower It turns out that the difficulty isn’t so much in the syntax as in deciding *every* *little* *detail* of what you want your app to do. Even with an AI helping, there’s a lot you can’t hand-wave away. 2/2
