That said, the game ran flawless and clearly showed the many years of refinement and experience. With a bit of tweaking it has potential for true greatness! But it also is (and never will be) for everyone. I'd be amazed if more than 10% of players ever saw the true ending, and that is kinda sad.

...but what annoyed me were the many smaller unskippable, cutscenes / transitions when a boss is introduced - bad "Nintendo" levels. Also the currency system - while definitely adding to the game - was actively discouraging experimentation on difficult areas, adding grind to an already long run.
