This year automatically makes this birthday a whole lot better than last year when I was presented with boxes from a certain person whom shall not be named. I am having a great time here with everyone, while also drinking responsibly at the same time 🖤🐍🎂

Day 69 at the Dive Bar on the East Side....Part 2

It took me a moment or two to figure out why Delicate became my favourite song, and at rapid pace at that. But i figured it'd make sense to explain it all on it's anniversary date

Day 69 from the Dive Bar on the East Side….the making of Aidan’s Delicate 2024 was a rough year in every aspect for me, However from the end of the year through to now, something happened that would later define who I am now. How did we get here? Quite amazingly, I first listened to Reputation on November 10th, which is the album's anniversary, when I was still in the middle of something awful personally that I needed to get out of. The song Delicate on its own would’ve been enough to make it a favourite for me, like The Archer from Lover or Clean from 1989. But as we yelled 123 LGB from our monitors during the grainy livestreams, there was something about the song that clicked for me in a way no song ever did. Was it the song itself? Was it the music video? Whatever it was, I was unsure of the exact reason. Throughout the year since, however, the song grew more and more for more reasons beyond just a favourite. Was it the music video? Maybe, because as Taylor danced by herself with no one noticing, I had noticed I had done something similar in High School, but it could’ve been something else entirely. I was listening to the song as part of me re-listening to Taylor’s catalog and getting to know my new friends I had met on Bluesky, and noticed that no one claimed Delicate as their preferred song so I volunteered as tribute. Then the song got me to do something a song would never make me do before, make me dance. Am I a good dancer? Hell no, but it’s sure as hell fun to do that’s for sure. If a song can make me get up and groove then the song definitely did something right. As I processed through my IRL events, the song and the album became a definition of who I am. I was being yelled at and was being “CANCELLED!” by certain people I cut from my life, and then the music video made more sense to me than I initially thought due to these events occurring. Dancing through the negative thoughts invisibly and not caring at all about all the bad stuff that happened. …

Of all days for the anniversary to drop on it had to be the 69th day did it?

The bar is celebrating a huge day regardless. It may be the only time apart from New Year's Day where it's open 24 hours

It's only natural we celebrate the album therefore!

Happy Migration Day, everyone! I love you all ❤️🫶
Swiftie Migration Day, continued This may sound like a similar post i made a little bit ago, but I wanted to emphasize that without this wonderful platform or without all of y’all, my life may have been completely different, for a wide variety of reasons I went from a person that felt lonely and unknown to the majority of the other place to being able to make so many friends and be loved at the same time. The Grainy Livestreams for me were a fun way for me to get to know everyone and recognise what songs were their favourites too. And of course through these memories I got to re-connect with Swift’s music and find an identity that I can call my own. The Bracket Battles, The Lyric Elimination Challenges, and the other games were another great way to connect as well, and I love that we have them around so that we can continue to have fun in the process. You’ve all helped me break out of my shell and be more interactive on this platform than I ever did on any other site, and I hope we can continue to make fantastic memories together for a very long time. Is it cool that I said all that? Yes, because I love all of you. I found a supportive, helpful, and fun community that I can call my 2nd family. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your lives ❤️🫶
