I am glad to find a good alternative to X that doesn't belong to FB. I joined Twitter in 2009. I thought it was ridiculous when Musk changed it to X. To me X always meant bad or evil or "X'ed out as in broken. His political views were the last straw.

Imo, destruction is not the plan, it's dictatorship or a Orban/Hungarian-style "illiberal democracy" which is not democracy but one-party rule. I don't believe trump will walk away after four years. He has three sons who can succeed him, and the MAGA elite would love to establish one-party rule.

I think this means all the counties voted either trump or Harris. It is definitely true that low education states are red and higher education states vote blue. That may make us feel good but remember there are always more less educated folks than high. They used to vote blue but the Dems lost them.

I agree. We are at Trump's mercy. Democracy depends on how far he will go to establish an Orban-Hungarian-style "illiberal democracy," which is not democracy. That is why '26 is so important. We need to elect as many Dems as possible at all levels to block their attempts to control future elections.
There are a lot of people going along, like business as usual. "We'll get'em next time," convinced there will be a "next time" in 4 years... or even 2 years. I hope they're right, but I'm not entirely convinced.
