This is very true for me, but I grew up with handwriting, and the only keyboard in the house was my Mom’s for her college essays. So cursive is a big part of my brain development. I wonder if studies take into account the differences of folks who grew up on keyboards.

Yes, in New York State in the 1960’s. I still prefer it for most of my writing, probably because my mind grew itself with handwriting. I take care of my old hands by using fat fountain pens, fat gel pens, wet markers, and soft pencils. I have been a stationery nerd forever.

Check in on your comrades. It can feel lonely, especially for those of still social distancing for health (personal and community health) Thanks for the reminders.

They got DSHEA, what, 30 years ago, and they still pretend they are the underdogs!? In all those three decades, almost no one I told about that doublespeak-named law knew anything about it.

That’s how my husband, Jozef, and I were. 34 years we had. My condolences, RRice. I am glad you two had such a love. I am coming up on 10 years since Joe died. Take care of yourself.

I’m lucky, too. 34 years with my late husband, Jozef, daily one or the other would ask, “Marry me?” On his deathbed, (when he mostly slept and only whispered), our last chat was this: sitting entwined, quiet and content, I asked “Marry me?” He said “Yes!” Then he slept, never woke again. Dec 2014.

Tell Mung Bean I said hello on behalf of my three: Sagan, Kenji and Minerva, and my dog, Epitome.

I have heard of other breeders trying to do this. I don’t grok the science, I hope it is a good trend. Tell your Corgi hello for me.

Mung Bean is an excellent name

A mensch, a mentor, a terrific writer, netizen neighbor of nerds and normies since the 20th century. Scalzi is a treasure.

Lovely overcast Vermont day. Curling up with a very good book (Libby Cudmore’s “Negative Girl”). Moody contemporary noir set in an imaginary small city near me, it is humane, tightly written, and, oh, Libby’s music references could inspire a great playlist.

No, alas! We miss everyone, so glad we have phones and zoom. My son, Flang, is immunocompromised (transplant). Our daughter, Guinnevere, and her Craig, are plan to be there Thanksgiving. They are just marvelous. My whole, big family is pretty great. Have a blast. Cheers!
