(I watched the 3b1b which is basically my understanding) so I don’t want to rely on my assumptions especially when they contradict some so far as I can tell legitimate experts.

He won a noble prize and is considered one of the godfather of AI I think it’s reasonable to give his opinion some weight. I don’t need a times article just some evidence (innocent until proven guilty). Also can you stop being rude if you don’t want to do this fine. I don’t know much about llms

Ok I’m not a sucker sucker stop being mean. It’s just a lot of what I hear about from the people who make it (not the ceos they are just glorified marketing so far as I can tell) is concerning. Geoffrey Hinton is concerned and so far as I now has no financial need or other motive to hype it.

AI is quantified way of looking at patterns such that we can do maths with it and reproduce the patterns. It’s not unreasonable to think lots of jobs can be in large part be reduced to patterns. This isn’t to say it will but I do think it is worth considering a little.

What if they are right? AI is not NFT. The technology is different so I think the comparison is flawed.
