He's coming home today! They are giving him another bag of blood, right now. So that will push him over the level 8 they wanted him to be at. They've told him to keep the appointment with his GI doctor on the 18th and followup with regular blood work.

Update on Dad: He spoke with his Gastroenterologist's nurse practitioner. The doctor and the emergency scope doctor spoke, they agreed he doesn't need a scope at the moment because it was trace amounts of blood in the stool sample. They are getting him in on the first cancellation, however.
