Yeah I'm aware of that, and that explains why it turned out like that, and if people like it that's fine, I still insist it doesn't really make any sense though. There is a good reason everyone ended up sticking to the dualshock design

I know what you mean. I didn't send the image of that controller to imply that it is generally better, the stick placement just makes a lot more sense. I can't attest to the overall quality of the actual controller itself.

The size of your hands can make that a lot less comfortable

The issue isn't goldeneye/PD at all. I think they did a great job with the controller they had to work with. I'm criticizing the controller itself

Have you ever considered why "interact" is usually something like E or F and not something like the numpad when "move" is tied to WASD? Have you considered why people use WASD in the first place instead of the directional keys?

yes, and you can't touch the analogue stick at the same time. There is really no benefit to having them apart like that. You never have to move your entire hand when using the SNES controller.

when you eventually want to press a d-pad button you will still have to shift your hand around awkwardly, in a way you don't have to on any other well thought out controller, lmfao. The fact that you don't have to do it simultaneously doesn't mean it isn't still awkward and poorly designed.

The fact that developers adjust their control scheme to fit the bad design of the controller doesn't make it any less bad.

you literally cannot even press the DPAD buttons without moving your entire hand to the left. N64 is great and all but that controller design does not make any sense, there isn't really any denying that
