I meant to say that my neighbor bought their property and lived in their original home until 2022. our property is four acres of the original Stankavich property. we really need that edit button. I evidently have a problem posting today 🙄🤦‍♀️

the property we live on was owned by the family of a man who invented the first mechanical cranberry picker. my neighbor. we have a tiny bog at the end of our property where we still get some cranberries every year.

cranberry bread is so very good. there is a local coffee place that has the best orange cranberry scones and the local creamery has excellent cranberry walnut ice cream.

a large number of cranberries in different shades of red. Cranberry farming has been a commercial practice in Bandon since the 1890’s. Bandon produces the vast majority of Oregon's cranberries, and a substantial portion of the national crop. The harvest season runs from late October through early December. About 1600 acres of bogs around Bandon, many family-owned, produce around 30 million pounds of berries. a drone shot by my son of the cranberry bogs in our area.
