Ok in that case I can appreciate being dramatic. Haha We're all allowed to be dramatic. 🤣

That's interesting to me. I find that as super kind. The world is pretty shitty right now, and this would lift my spirits a little if I heard it from someone. I think the intent is to be be more direct and personal in showing my appreciation, which I enjoy.

"'Preciate it" was a very common way to say thanks when I was growing up. Why does it make you uncomfortable? But we millennials ditched "you’re welcome" because it was too frequently used sarcastically to the point it ruined the phrase. Maybe Gen Z is just doing similar with "thank you."

You can’t ignore fascism away, though. This isn’t network television. They can make money off the internet a million different ways and they have unrestricted access to the masses, whether we like it or not. It's time to start hitting them back on their own turf.

And even the wider perspective lens is that of galactic history itself. It's not "this event is happening." It's "this is the weight of the event on the entire galaxy as history itself is changing." Play-by-play books are so boring.

This is also what makes ROTS my favorite SW novel. You really get into the perspectives of each of the main cast. You are watching the fall of the Republic. Your heart is breaking with Padmé's. You’re angry and scared with Anakin. You feel betrayed like Obi-Wan. It's so much more dramatic.

That being said, they did remove the curbs in the Hub at Disneyland for the very reason of making it more accessible. I think the sidewalks are just too narrow on Main Street, so the slope down to the street would be too steep for safe walking.
