OVERALL:

For #NUFC, this will be a test of our ability to retain the ball. We'll need to do so to exploit spaces behind their advanced full-backs, and withstand their structured press. A major test of our discipline.

December 19, 2025 at 9:35 PM
💪 KEY STRENGTH:
← Tactical versatility & controlled possession. A sophisticated, dominant system.

🛑 KEY WEAKNESS:
← Can struggle vs deep blocks & is vulnerable to quick counters.
December 19, 2025 at 9:35 PM
🚫 WITHOUT THE BALL:

← Intense hybrid press from a 4-4-2 structure, using triggers to trap teams wide.
← If bypassed, settles into a compact, organized mid-block.
← Aims to restrict central lanes and force play sideways.
December 19, 2025 at 9:35 PM
⚽️ WITH THE BALL:

← Build in a 4-2-3-1 shifting to a 3-2-4-1, using an inverted full-back for a "box midfield".
← Patient, short build-up often involves the GK to bait a press.
← Wingers provide width, the #10 operates in half-spaces.
← Added fluid movement recently to break down low blocks.

OVERALL:

For #NUFC, this tests our defensive shape against their left-side rotations. Disrupt their midfield rhythm, track Robinson's runs (if he plays), and exploit spaces in behind when they commit. A battle of tactical discipline. #HTL
December 17, 2025 at 5:29 PM
💪 KEY STRENGTH:
← Well-drilled vertical progression & dangerous wide overloads (esp. left flank).

🛑 KEY WEAKNESS:
← Vulnerable in transition behind attacking full-backs. Can be predictable if key rotations are stifled.
December 17, 2025 at 5:29 PM
🚫 WITHOUT THE BALL:

← Compact 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 mid-block. Aims to funnel play into wide areas.
← Uses pressing triggers to trap opponents near the touchline.
← Double pivot is crucial for covering spaces when full-backs step out.
← Organized but relies on strict discipline and coordinated shifts.
December 17, 2025 at 5:29 PM
⚽️ WITH THE BALL:

← 4-2-3-1. Looks to play forward quickly, often bypassing the pivot.
← Striker drops deep creating space for the attackers.
← Key pattern: left-wingers drift inside, freeing the LB to overlap & cross.
← Right winger stays wide for 1v1s; right-back often stays deeper in buildup.

Yeah, it's all perception, really.

I understand toon fans being aggrieved about some of our performances this season, but I generally think we're in great shape for all of our goals (advancing in CL, making deep cup runs, competing for europe spots). We're a work in progress, though, to be sure

OVERALL:
For #NUFC, this is a classic test of breaking down a low block. Patience is key. The absolute priority: avoid cheap fouls & long throws in our half. Neutralise their set-pieces, and their threat plummets. A proper derby grind.

December 12, 2025 at 4:51 PM
💪 KEY STRENGTH:
← Set-piece execution. A massive 43.9% of their xG comes from rehearsed corners & long throws.

🛑 KEY WEAKNESS:
← Limited open-play creativity. 2nd lowest touches in the opposition box. Reliant on conversion & dead balls.
December 12, 2025 at 4:51 PM
🚫 WITHOUT THE BALL:

← Identity is a deep, compact 4-4-2/5-4-1 block.
← System funnels all play into wide areas, denying central penetration.
← Selective, man-to-man press rather than a high press.
← Concede many shots but of very low quality (6th lowest xGA).
December 12, 2025 at 4:51 PM
⚽️ WITH THE BALL:

← Not a possession side (18th in PL). Buildup is often direct.
← Granit Xhaka drops deep as the conductor.
← Strong left-side bias, focusing on wing play and crosses.
← Flexible between longer sequences and direct route-one play.

No one’s business, and the motivations are disgusting regardless
December 10, 2025 at 5:28 PM
OVERALL:

For #NUFC, the blueprint is clear. Disrupt Garcia’s rhythm in buildup and ruthlessly target their hesitant, error-prone defense in transition. #HTL
December 9, 2025 at 8:31 PM
💪 KEY STRENGTH:
← Attacking flexibility & individual flair. Organized in possession, dangerous on the counter.

🛑 KEY WEAKNESS:
← Defensive instability & naivety. Prone to individual errors and can be torn apart by dynamic attacks.
December 9, 2025 at 8:31 PM
🚫 WITHOUT THE BALL:

← Employ an active counter-press to win the ball back quickly.
← Defensively versatile; can use a mid-block or deeper shape.
← The newly assembled back line lacks chemistry & is a work-in-progress.
← Vulnerable in transitions and on set-pieces.
December 9, 2025 at 8:31 PM
⚽️ WITH THE BALL:

← Possession-oriented (avg. ~60%), using a 3-4-3/3-2-4-1 system.
← Build with patience, using vertical passes & changes of tempo.
← Aleix Garcia is the midfield metronome.
← Wing-backs (Grimaldo) provide width and a major attacking threat.
December 9, 2025 at 8:31 PM
OVERALL:
For #NUFC, Everton’s crosses and physicality will test our defense, but their high line is ripe for exploitation by our wingers. Set-pieces could be decisive, but our transition game might just edge it. #HTL
November 28, 2025 at 9:46 PM
💪 KEY STRENGTH:
← Creating chances through crosses and direct play, with numerical overloads in the box.

🛑 KEY WEAKNESS:
← Vulnerable to set-pieces and quick counters due to a high defensive line and pressing risks.
November 28, 2025 at 9:46 PM
🚫 WITHOUT THE BALL:

← They defend in a compact 4-4-2 or 5-2-3 block, squeezing the pitch to force play wide.
← Use a high press with man-oriented marking, but often rely on a disciplined mid-block.
← Aggressive counter-pressing in transitions, but can leave central spaces exposed.
