This is from the Making of Star Trek? I got that from a 2nd hand shop when I was a Trek obsessed kid and found it fascinating. It's the way it doesn't have any idea what's going to happen to Star Trek as a huge cultural thing

The plot runs out about halfway. There's a lot of yakking in the Arctic, but no actual story, which is presumably why most films don't bother with it, they just spin their wheels for half an hour and then the flaming torches arrive and put an end to it. The monster never really does anything

the description of Rogue Moon did make me think of that old idea that the Star Trek transporter doesn't move you but actually kills you and then creates a clone at your destination. A bit like The Prestige too I suppose

I do remember it being essentially cardboard boxes of back copies of 2000 AD, with not an £800 statue of Batmsn punching the Predator to be seen

As a European who's seen their fair share of HGTV, I've always been fascinated by the presenters buying houses, ripping off the walls and there's just nothing there, some upright timbers and plywood, like an over sized shed
