We have the competition shafts in MiniMaxAttaq's Micra-powered Midget. They came with his car that got crashed and I'm starting to rebuild. This is his new MG-Nissan with my ZR at a speed hillclimb last year. Wiscombe Park, plus a couple of pics when he won at Llandow race track sprint.

1981 and my first speed event - I think you call it Autocross, we call it a sprint. A Mk2 Sprite, itself vintage but so many were still around that the Midget was considered a current car even though out of production for a couple of years.

Yes it's an MG Midget! Trying to repair the race car that MiniMaxAttaq crashed 3 years ago. He's built a really nice replacement, I'm trying to rescue the old car. Cutting the rear off for a clam, pushing the spring mount back into place with some success 😃

Just back from a couple of days exhibiting at Kartmania, the UK kart show. Best part about it? Putting on my work uniform and it didn't stink of 2-stroke oil! Love working indoors.

Just back from a couple of days exhibiting at Kartmania, the UK kart show. Best part about it? Putting on my work uniform and it didn't stink of 2-stroke oil! Love working indoors.

When I was a kid, the MG Car Club used to hold its annual premier Autotest just here. I learned to drive outside where I'm stood now. Club Corner has changed a bit since then!

I'm not on track today (thankfully given the weather) but still at a track as I'm exhibiting at the kart show at Silverstone Circuit. It's lashing down outside, I'm feeling kinda smug I'm dry and warm.

Long weekend working at the kart track. Went into the warehouse early to empty and return hire van, came back home then back this afternoon to start folding up wet awnings, sorting boxes etc. I was spectacularly useless so came home for a cheese toastie and a snoooooooooozzzzzzzzze

I'm lucky enough to have chosen a DD to match exactly those criteria. This fitted on fun, practicality and cost. Air con for the nice day, windscreen wipers for the trip home in the rain and a hatchback to carry the tool kit and spares!

Me and The Boy are Hill climbing at Wiscombe Park today, mine's the ZR his is the Midget with Micra engine. I'm currently P3 but is it drying? If so I wave bye bye to a pot! Gorgeous Devon scenery abounds.

Long day with the kart team. The A34 at drivetime truly is the Road to Hell. Then an accident on the A4 and Google lied about the delay. Totally ate up my "beer at a country pub" time 😂 This little gem is right alongside my route home, but I had to drive on!

So this is what I call work. Two sessions ago this lad was barely above walking pace. Still a long way to go but the improvement is massive. And in his off kart demeanour!

What a load of fun sprinting at Llandow today. MiniMaxAttaq won the class for the first time in his Midget/Nissan, I was right in the mix for once in the ZR and ended up P4 of 7. I only run on road tyres, the rest of the guys were on semi slicks. Huge fun, got no brakes left now!
