Fully expect a huge turn out at the nation’s memorial services, given the upsurge of patriotism and renewed religious vigour on display over the summer with the ‘Raise the Colours’ campaign and marches. Plus the recent use of lampposts to demonstrate respect to the fallen. Should be a bumper year.

So true. It occurred to me when listening to your show today that’s it’s the same with the ‘operation raise the colours’ - it’s essentially a way of hiding racism! ‘It’s just a show of patriotism’ they say, no it’s just a way of being racist without verbalising it!
