I meant more than it wasn't instantly ludicrous that they were in charge of anything. They were always bad.

It's laughable that anybody believes in the system now though. I kind of understand it historically, but there's no excuse when these clowns are around.

Oh yeah they were absolutely, I remember being quite convinced David Cameron was the worst prime minister we'd ever had, but fuck me, I hadn't considered that things would get ridiculous. I thought the ridiculous would just be on a background level, everyone believing in the system.

I do think the ludicrously bad, laughable series of prime ministers we've had since David Cameron has warped people's bar for what a good prime minister would be.

(Not that it was good before of course but, well, it was different)
