I agree with the article. It is horribly short-sighted. I fear Trump will start targeting foreign born healthcare professionals. Immigrants comprise significant proportions of nurses (16%) & physicians (25%). If the Trump regime deports them underserved areas & specialties will reach crisis levels.

Of those on SNAP 39% are children, 20% are over 60 yo, 10% are disabiled, 1.3M are active duty or retired military. The rest are the working poor (our tax $ subsidize low-pay greedy corps).

I can't believe our ambassador to the UN voted to deny food as a human right. She should have resigned rather than follow that order. Yet this was old news from Nov 2021 during Biden's term. WTF!
