A dinosaur perk was that worn teeth got replaced. A section of the lower jaw of a big iguanodontian from the #IsleofWight shows the process. Tooth replacement was organised in waves known as Zahnreihen, so that large sections of the jaw weren’t left toothless (enlarge to see numbers). #FossilFriday

The British state has used every method they can to isolate and break the spirits of the 8 prisoners who stand with Palestine.

They are now close to dying & the British state doesn't care.

We know colonialism.

Putting the signs out again this evening, and back on daily fire patrols 🙄 Just 27mm of rain in March. 16mm so far in April. The rivers are low, there's hardly any snow, and there's no meaning precipitation looking likely any time soon. Dire.

Another winter done, and here's the data. The mean temperature of 3.9C made it my 6th warmest winter. 0.1C cooler than last winter but some way behind the crazy warm winters of 16/17, 18/19, 19/20 and 21/22. As with all other seasons, nights are warming faster than days. #Fife

The eyes and ears of the world should rest upon them.

We must safeguard their voices from silence, distortion, or being overshadowed.

Latest update on the NHS this winter - flu has just about peaked, but December was another terrible month for the NHS emergency services.

This has consequences, with thousands of people dying each year due to delays in access to emergency care.
