Exactly this, I've been playing since FU and obviously my understanding of the mechanics and systems is going to make coming into a new base game easier. Especially as we got used to hunting MR arch tempered silliness.

A lot of hunters forget the early game is always going to be easy, world was for experienced players as well. I would say Alatreon probably isn't the best example due to it being a title update to the expac. Perhaps Lunestra or Behemoth once they were added to base world.

I too miss gunner armour, some of the A/B set changes remind me of what we lost as most of the time it's not enough of a change (just colour palette for many) miss the asymmetrical sets.
