Victims/ survivors of sexual violence require and must have access to crucial support -- especially within the first 72 hours after the crime was committed.

In the aftermath of sexual violence... The first 72 hours are critical to support victims/survivors of sexual violence. Support within this time frame includes prevention of pregnancy, prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, as well as treatment of injuries. Providing mental health and psychosocial support helps to address trauma and reduce long-term consequences.
