My MIL used to ? why I wasn’t more insistent about when/how much they eat, what to wear, etc. I told her that if they can’t figure out when they’re hungry, when they’re full and when they’re cold or hot, they’re in big trouble. They also helped cook & did laundry by 13/14. Life skills.

I wasn’t doing anything wrong but I threatened my wife and kids if she tells anyone.

First thought is that they seemingly have no trouble punishing women but the men who participate in this trash often get off without punishment

It’s their motto, “Rules for thee, not for me.” It’s their entire ethos.

They’re both immature. Everybody has different tastes & he should be able to add whatever he wants (even if it seems dumb and unappetizing). But his reaction is what the problem is. Getting that angry & name calling is ridiculous. Break up and grow up.

1/Never put equity, financial or sweat into an asset you don’t own. A friend’s daughter moved in w/her boyfriend. Got rid of her stuff (his home was fully furnished and her “stuff” wasn’t as nice). Worked on the home, painting, landscaping, etc. Paid utilities (so helping him financially).
