Love how he breaks down a complex concept such as trust into various different types, also points out that corporations (and AIs they create) and their underlying drive to profit cannot be blindly trusted. We need more systematic thinkers like this in public discourse.

Anyone else feel in software development we are reaching peak abstraction? In theory it should simplify life's but at some point when it doesn't work it's horrendously complex to work down the stack to understand root cause.

The first step in my career was learning how to do things, but it took understanding why I was doing them for my career to take off. I went from completing tasks to asking why, then understanding the impact of my work, and eventually gained the ability to find the most impactful things to work on.
