the RDA and the soviet block were an attempt to solve the problems that continue to ail for example the US: the problem of hunger, of Education for all, of work , of health for everyone. It is now 2025 and Russia is ruled by gangters and germany is going the way of the 1930s.

I see that map and all i can think is "such a waste of lives and effort and time". I understand that it may not be a very popular opinion ,but, before the horror of the stasi, before the neighbors spying on neighbors,

"... White House has adopted a unique lexicon to describe its agenda — in some cases, using words that in ordinary contexts mean the opposite." How can they not follow their own reasoning? Doublespeak is a trait of undemocratic regimes. You don't have to be so peppy while mincing your words, WaPo.

I know it is (or not) a grey area to share this doc, but the subject merits, i think, if we think in terms of history of cinema.
