I don’t think you can compare Succession, a show taking place in the world as we know it, with Severance. I love both shows but it’s a more difficult task for Severance to bring things to a conclusion in a satisfying way.

There are ways the military can be used to combat drug trafficking, and in some cases use force against traffickers in self-defense. It’s astonishing you have a law degree and think it’s ok to just blow people up because they may be transporting contraband towards the US.

The presumption is the cocaine is like a weapon of mass destruction the boat crew can deploy against the military, but it’s a physical product posing no danger to anyone who would interdict the boat. There’s no fight, just some people who got blown up for being on a boat with suspected contraband.

The entire concept of “narco-terrorists” as combatants through smuggling drugs doesn’t pass the smell test. These have all been murders.

I’ve been to DC dozens of times over the last 20 years, never once felt unsafe, now is the only time I’d have second thoughts about going.

The gym is better for me. They maintain the equipment and unless you are extremely wealthy and have a lot of space, there will be much more variety. And I like working out in different locations and atmospheres, so I will actually go to a variety of facilities where I have access or can drop in.

Harris had some huge negatives. Tied to an unpopular admin and did little to differentiate herself. Didn’t win a nomination by votes. No great achievements as VP. She had good positions as a candidate and did well in some forums, but she needed to run a virtually flawless campaign and didn’t.

Yeah all those things are factors and should be addressed. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t also try to address lifestyle factors in a non-punitive way.

We need to do a better job of preventive care and promoting healthy lifestyles through positive encouragement and/or incentives, and other policies, but penalizing people with poor health or risk factors like they have a DUI and are trying to get car insurance is outrageous.
